I absolutely love this book, I am doing the Daniel Plan with a small group of ladies starting this Sunday afternoon after 3rd service. I am so looking forward to leading, sharing and helping other woman along their journey to better health, fitness and faith. This book is written to help you with every area of struggle in your life. I am reading this book for the second time now, first I read it just get get the information. Now I am putting into practice what is really The a Daniel Plan, faith, food, focus, friends and fitness. I highly recommend this book!

I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the book, but it has so much good information so I am constantly highlighting. I've done so many diet plans before but this encompasses my whole life. The 10 day detox is so much easier than other plans and I am 9 days into it and feel energetic and am losing weight!
The book is well researched and well written. All the contributors are people I trusted as experts even before they were connected with this program. A+ across the board!

I have tried many diets, but have over time become 90 lbs over weight and on three blood pressure medicines. After reading this book, being a follower of Christ for 51 yrs, and determining to honor Him and get healthy, I lost 10lbs and stopped one of my medicines in just ten days of the detox plan. My wife has lost 8 lbs and neede to lose only about 20. We griped and struggled, but are so thrilled with this plan, we are now on the forty day plan and are changing what and the way we eat. Thank you for the way you have approached the healthy life in this truly remarkable book. Our Family physician is a healthy man who also inspired us to eat healthily by his example.

The book and journal were ordered a year or so ago. It was overwhelming to me and I never finished. A friend ordered and told me she planned to work through it and I told her I had the book. Another friend heard us and asked to join. We began the journey together and I discovered it really is not so overwhelming as we encourage and pray for one another. (We also ordered the DVD, study guide, and quick start guide.) The book teaches and explains what foods to eat and why some are better than other foods. This is a big learning curve for this southern girl that learned to chicken fry everything! When this knowledge was joined with all the essentials, my health improved! This is a win, win book and I am losing too! My blood sugar is in the normal range and easily lost 20 lbs! We now have a group of 20 working through the program at our church! I know I will continue to lose.

Before receiving the book I thought it would be just like Paleo; very restrictive. I lost two sizes on Paleo and gained it all back! The Daniel Plan was first introduced to me years ago at church. Although I never followed it I saw many losing weight. However it was mostly about appearance, not the value of the foods we should eat. After reading the first half of the Daniel Plan I am enlightened and encouraged to treat myself better and take better care of the body God gave me. I love sugar and admit I am an addict. I have not started the plan 100% yet but have lost 5 pounds just making small changes!
The book is fantastic and I can't wait to finish reading it!

I honestly still have a few chapters to go but the information in this book has already changed my life by changing the way I look at food. The basic nutrition info is in no way new or revolutionary and most of it is stuff I have heard before. The difference is the context. I WORSHIP God by treating his greatest gift to me (my body) with respect. Now instead of convincing myself that I deserve a "treat" I know that God and I deserve better. Instead of convincing myself I deserve an extra rest day (I allow 1 per week) I worship God through my fitness.I am starting my 4th week on the plan today and I've already lost 13 lbs on DP. (I had already lost 4 lbs using exercise only and "watching" my food a little more diligently for 3 weeks before starting the plan). My husband is not quite with me yet, but he is joining me for dinner and being more mindful of portions and snacks the rest of the day and has lost a few lbs. I have committed to leading a DP small group for my church beginning the week of 10/5 and am very excited about sharing this life changing information with those who choose to attend.
